Berkshire Study

Lenox, MA

The clients of the Berkshire Study were looking for a new garage with small study/guest suite above, where they could work remotely and offer a more private-stay option when hosting friends and family. An oasis for work and rest.

The generous window creates the sense of being perched among the trees, while framing views of the forest, lake, and mountains beyond. Every day and season creates a new living landscape painting.  In the summer, when the windows are open, the music of Tanglewood can be heard in the distance.

Honey-oak paneling and brass detailing on the custom railing bring warmth to the modern space, while skylights pour in light from above.  Ample storage and a full bathroom, are tucked behind invisible doors. And a custom desk with integral heating grills maintain the simplicity of the space.
